Recently, we have added two exciting new product lines at our south location. Moroccan Oil is highly regarded as one of the most hydrating product lines, which is extremely beneficial in the dry Colorado climate. Although some of the products are geared toward curly and ethnic hair, most will benefit all hair types. SOMA is our other new line. These all-natural, organic, vegan, biodegradable, sulfate-free products will amaze you with their gentle cleansing, conditioning and styling capabilities. We are thrilled to bring you these two new lines that complement our Pureology, Schwarzkopf and Redken products nicely. In addition to rave reviews received on CitySearch, Yelp and others, J Gregory is proud to have been recognized by several local publications in their "best of" lists in recent years. Being selected as the "Best of the Best 2012" by Colorado Springs Style magazine is our newest award. J Gregory Salon has grown tremendously since opening in 2003. Our downstairs area was added in 2008 and recently remodeled to include 2 shampoo bowls and an additional manicure area. Our south location, just off Tejon and Cascade. At J Gregory, we are committed to community. We regularly support such causes as Newborn Hope, Breast Cancer & Alzheimer's Disease research, and attend the MS Walk as a group every year. In March 2012, with help from Edelweiss Restaurant, Rich Designs and Marty Harper, CPA, we hosted Manitou Springs' artist, Liese Chavez's amazing work. Our lovely and unique space has been used for birthday parties and wedding receptions as well. Gregory Chavez Our founder, Greg Chavez, has been perfecting his craft for more than 25 years. After graduating from cosmetology school in Denver, Greg worked in California, Texas and Connecticut before returning to Colorado. Greg's passion is education - he thrives on teaching others how to be the best at what they do. Through his partnership with Marla Knapp (owner of A Total New You Salon & Day Spa) and Kitty Victor (Salon Consultant and Redken National Guest Artist), this passion led to the creation of The Salon Professional Academy in 2006. As a Redken NYC sponsored academy, students are afforded one of the best educational opportunities around through the finest educators and frequent visits from national artists. Academy ownership allows Greg to select the best and brightest graduates for employment at his two salons. Greg continues to serve his loyal guests at both J Gregory locations and occasionally has the opportunity to add new guests to his schedule.
