J Gregory Salon was founded and is operated by Gregory Chavez. Mr Chavez has spent many years in the hair care industry and has leveraged that invaluable experience to create one of Colorado Springs' most well respected hair salons.
Realizing his desire to enter the industry at a young age, Gregory Chavez entered cosmetology school in Denver, where he graduated in 1984. From this beginning, Chavez relocated and began working for Paul Mitchell Systems in Los Angeles, California. This initial experience in the industry led Chavez to continue honing his craft in California, Texas and Connecticut for the better part of 15 years. As an educator, traveling as a platform artist, for almost 15 years and by immersing himself in the industry, Chavez has worked with well known artists in the field such as Toni and Guy, Aveda and Noel DiCaprio.
Gregory Chavez now owns the Salon Professional Academy in Colorado Springs. A Redken sponsored academy, the Salon Professional Academy is continually working with the Redken Exchange in New York City. As such, many top artists from around the globe come Colorado Springs to visit and educate at this school.
With J Gregory Salon in such proximity to it's founders academy, it goes without saying that the stylists at J Gregory are continually educated. This is one of the many things that sets J Gregory apart from the rest.
